Ban-gohan*晩ご飯 ~~ Dinner!!!
To be honest i am so surprise to see what's on the dining table. Sashimi, inari, tempura, sekihan*赤飯, salad.... and of course, japanese sake*酒!
The very first question おとおさん and お母さん asked my was: Do you eat Sashimi? だいじょぶだよ! No problem for me, haha! おとおさん is kind enough to pour me the first glass of sake, which is a wooden-rectangular glass... "It's meant for special guest..." he say this while doing it. And also the sushi, from his hand to mine. It's just such a wonderful moment for me, i really feel honoured - - Japanese way at it's best. ありがとうございました!
Then we start eating, drinking while chatting about almost everything, laughter fills the dining room. In Malaysia it's not usual to drink while having dinner, mainly because of the weather and type of food. So, i really enjoy that extra-ordinary dinner! I don't know when i stop eating, but i just keep emptying my plate, haha! From oishii sou*美味しそう (looks delicious) to 美味しいかた (delicious, after you taste it). It was such a wonderful first dinner in the land of Japan.

After the dinner, we start playing some games - - congkak from Malaysia, and games like hanafuda*花札, from Japan. I actually brought this foldable congkak game as part of the cultural ex-change workcamp with NICE-Japan, on the 13th.

Futon*蒲団
And when i sleep, i sleep with futon*蒲団. It's certainly look a bit too "warm" for a guy from tropical weather, but there, keeping warm is everything. They even have electrical mats that generates heat.
皆さん、おやすみなさい!
