House of Flowers

House of Flowers - - This is my first impression i had once i step onto YM's house.

This is just one of the 30,000 species orchids found........ worldwide, not in her house, haha:) Perhaps they should replace this orchid at the entrance with "Mokara Datin Seri Endon" hybrid, a Malaysian hybrid named after our Prime Minister's wife.

Few steps away, i found this strudy, free-flowering shrub - - Ixora.

I think most of us would agree if i say ixora is one of the most popular garden plant all over Malaysia. I took my primary school graduate photos besides these flowers. I notice some of them while walking towards Port Klang. And now, they are here. Not so related, huh? :p

This Bougainvillea, another popular ornamental flowers, have the similar striking red colours. In Malaysia, it's better known as "Bunga Kertas", or "paper flowers", direct translation into english.

Flowers of fruits? I read an artical about native american who consume fruits from some species of cactus, like Beavertail Cactus. Maybe YM should try it out for us, host ma! Actually i've spotted even more flowers, i will load em' up once i've figure out their NAME ok....
