立命館大学+お好み焼き+Curry Chicken

Ko-chan and me, at the main gate of her university

Ritsumeikan*立命館 - - Place to establish one's destiny.

I really like the name of this university, with an age of almost a century old. Located high up on hill, it's really a good place to study. Even though the build up area of the campus may not be as huge as what we have in Malaysia, but all the facilities were well in order.

Certainly one of the best campus around!

Out of the 5 main faculty, Faculty of International Relations is the one which caught my attention. Focus on International Order and Peace, Cooperation and Development, Cultural Understanding etc., this is where you feel the wheel of globalization is really turning.

Back in Malaysia, courses like engineering, communication, doctor, lawyer were still very much in the main-stream. Here in Japan, it's funny that few of my friends was graduated with Degree in Russian language, Swahili language or International Relation studies. While the professional line will remain vital to our country's growth, i guess we certainly needs something more than that to acheived our ever famous Vision 2020! (So close, yet seems so far!)

Okini*おおきに, Ko-chan, Shoko-san! It's really an eye-opening visit!

Soon after we left the campus, we start shopping for our dinner - - home cook dinner, to be precise. I may not be the one who usually went to the grocery store, but it's not that difficult to get some basic ingredients for my curry chicken :p

Couldn't help Shoko-san and Ko-chan much on the ingredients for Okonomiyaki*お好み焼き, though. I'll just be resposible on the "eating" part, haha!

Homemade Okonomiyaki...oishii sou!

Okonomiyaki*お好み焼き, something between pancake and pizza, is what you shouldn't miss if you are in Kansai*関西 region of Japan. I've tried one of these in Malaysia and Singapore, but not as good as this one!

Curry chicken - - recipe all the way from Malaysia!

It's interesting to learn that most of my Japanese friends likes curry, not the too spicy type, though. Although i had to replaced "santan" with fresh milks, and my curry chicken were barely 50% up to my mother's standard - - nothing was left behind.

Hmmm, no one mention having stomachache, good, good, hehe...
