Gunung Senyum : Campsite Area
I guess it's fair to have a good look on our campsite, here at Gunung Senyum. Often, when we travel, first few things that concern us are basic needs like food, water, place to put up for the night. Some photos will do the job of explaining, i guess.
Concerete screed leading to kitchen/bathrooms. Notice the 60W light bulbs - - only light source that you have, if you don't have torch/candle/etc. No, no, campfire is not allowed.
We wake her up on Saturday morning, she then rushed to meet us. Doze off in the car, wake just in time for the beautiful mountain view. Come this morning, wake up when the breakfast is ready!!! :p
Normally we would go for instant noodles (in my case, with egg!), or sandwich, if you can't "produce" you own boiled water!
If you choose to stay here, forget about what i'm going to say next. I guess the campsite area is wide and flat enough for normal 4-6 people tent. According to the person in charge, flood and water ponding is not a problem, but do bring some sulfur to get ride of some occasional night creature, especially snake!
The only thing lacking, is something not even the management can help - - river. We always try to set up our camp near the river source, and in this case, this water tap!
No, don't jump into the "pool", this is not a japanese-styled onsen :) Bathroon cum toilet may looks a bit dirty, but it's ok for us. We don't expect 5 star kinda stuff here anyway.
Ornamental plants is everywhere, our country is blessed with suitable tropical weather with abundance rain so it means less maintenance when those plants are strong on their own.
Aroids may be common at lakeside/riverbank throughout the country, but not at this size!
