Maaf Zahir Batin

New year is a good time to express our gratitude and appreciation to others, and at the same time seeking forgiveness for all the wrongdoing, mistakes, conflict and misunderstanding made throughout the previous year.

That's pretty much a principle that all Malaysian are practicing.

Like for our Malay friends, the words are "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Batin".

I was just wondering if that is applicable to mistakes made the same day with Hari Raya! :)

Happy holiday everyone! Drive safe and eat healthy :p

Selamat Hari Raya!!!
Warm greetings from cold London!

I like their spirit of 'maaf-bermaafan' (forgiving and forgetting past quarrels). The brotherhood spirit is strong among them, and that cultivates unity.
