Agricultural Park@Shah Alam

Pinang Rajah, welcoming us...

It suppose to be a lazy Sunday, but since my in-law is here, we decided to go out and catch some fresh air! Our destination - - Agricultural Park, Shah Alam. FRIM was just too close, huh? :)

Work in progress...

First thing to do upon arrival, is quite obvious - - get ourself a bicycle! Can't really track the whole place, not with my sis and in-law :)

Brother-in-law, cycle pass a big palm

By the time we start our "expedition", the weather is getting bad, looks like it's going to rain...But we've come all the way here, not going to surrender, not until it really start raining! Hehe!

Entrance to the Arboretum

Few minutes of journey takes us to the Arboretum, of also knowns as "Living Library of Plants".

The tall tree on the right side looks interesting to me, with some climbers tangling on it...so i close on for a shot....

Mini "forest" here???

I suppose this place is much left over, since the concentration of many "tourists" or "visitors" are not in this part of the park! Just like some forsaken chalet/guest house, i wonder how much money has wasted...maybe they plan to rent it out for some ghost movie in the making, huh!

"Wild" chalet, huh?

Only life that belongs to the nature will looks stunning as usual, like the beuatiful Licuala palm!

Licuala, on of many ornamental palm

Bad news is, it start raining just before we leave the fern garden :) We harly finish half of the park area! Gosh!

Anyway, when it's time to go, it's time...no hard feelings! :p

Slow down...for the fern!

Actually we've cycle pass lots of interesting plants without knowing it...

Giant dipterocarps???

Tangle with figs!

Sis cycle past traveller's palm...

I might be leaving reluctantly, but not for sis. Because she did some shopping later on...shop for jewelry!

Venkatasalapathi???

Venkatasalapathi turn out to be the name for a temple in India - - I thought it was some form of incantations, so that no one will rob them! Haha!

Back to the agricultural park thingy, already i begins to plan for the next visit - - Any takers? (^_^)

Pretty big one, i doubt that i can finish it in a day if i stop down for more shots! Flora and fauna combined :)

Humid, as usual, though. Especially when it rains suddenly during hot sunny day - - i guess you know what i mean :p
