R u "Broadband" ?

I guess some of friends will curse me when they browse my blog - - All those photos will take a while to be uploaded.

Those who still using dial-up internet connection, that is!

Broadband connection is still not as common as reading daily newspaper, mainly because internet connection weren't a big part of Malaysian's lifestyle, especially in the rural area. And if you merely log on to check some emails and send messages, you really don't need a high-speed connection.

But we should really say thanks to fellow internet-cafe owners, who contributed in increasing overall broadband users - - many of them, secondary school to primary school children! It's amazing how computer games can keeps you awake all night, leaving the monitor only to washrooms. I used to be one of them, getting old, i suppose, haha!

And broandband in Malaysiai it's not cheap at all. Let alone the troublesome and funny procedure. For instance, i need to pay a minimum of RM 26/month for Telecom fixed line, before i can finally "attached" the broadband service onto it. That's another RM 77/month.

Many high-end users slowly switch to wireless broadband, offered by some few company like Maxis, who monopoly Malaysia's market. You can log on even when you are in the toilet!!! Crazy but true :p

Anyway, just hope that all my friends will become one of the 300 thousand broadband subscribers in near future.

Like it or not, hehe :)
